Starting a new notes page. Old one was getting old.

Good memories. I remember Hermes back on the pre moz 1.0 days ;)
Sad to see things have stalled.
What exactly is keeping Hermes from progressing?

I would be willing to help out if there is a feasable goal you want to hit.
Cheers!

Thanks for your support Jed, the problem is that soon after Moz 1.0 something changed in the sidebar code, and I have been unable to get hermes working, despite several suggestions. I must admit, that I haven't put much effort into solving the problem since I started using Firebird, as it doesn't have the same sort of sidebar. In the past few days however I have considered creating a Firebird web panel Hermes.

If anyone checks out the cvs and can get hermes working on the latest mozilla suite, I'd be happy to accept their patches, heck, I'd be happy to give them cvs write access.

If anyone's interested in a hermes web panel for Firebird, I'd be interested in discussing that too. Perhaps the mailing list would be the best place for that (see mailing list link above).

I'm definitally interested in Herms for Firebird (I made the switch around Phoenix 0.5 ;).
I've implemented sidebar support in my extensions QuickNote, feel free to grab the code that is usefull from there, or I could make a patch.

Do you mean to create like a favourties bar, but only with webmail access pages? Mhhh... you could do that even with html... Maybe i'm not getting the background of the project.

No, not a favourites bar. But a Firebird style sidebar panel tab. I think they went by the name of Web Panel for a while. Essentially it would look like the downloads/bookmarks/history sidebar, but with hermes in it. See pics for what hermes looked like when it used to work.

The hermes project can be contacted through the mailing list or the member list.
